DIY Gift Ideas

Homemade gifts are always great to give out. Here are some crafts you might consider giving as gifts this holiday season:

Reindeer Gift Wrappers

These reindeer candy wrappers are really cute and perfect as gifts. I couldn't find a tutorial for these, but it looks like you just use colored paper, felt and pipe cleaner over a candy wrapper.

Recipe in a Jar

Homemade food is a great gift if you're a good cook. You can make a treat and put it in a nice box or basket. You can also do a recipe in a jar like this Curried Lentil Soup that is made with dried lentils and seasonings.

Glitter Nail Polish

This video explains how to make your own glitter nail polish. You use clear nail polish, glitter, stainless steel balls and a couple other items. This would be great if you use someone's favorite colors as the glitter or have the nail polish match their favorite shirt or dress.

Heart Sweatshirt

This site shows you how to make two old sweatshirts in to a fun heart sweatshirt.

Do you make handmade gifts for the holiday season?

I love these ideas! I've been waiting to try the heart sweatshirt for awhile. I made my mom a paper wreath, my grandmother some yarn wrapped cardboard letters, and I attempted to make my sister a tank out of a t-shirt, but that didn't go so well! Haha. Happy crafting.
