Hanukkah Cards

Hanukkah is coming up this week so I listed some Hanukkah cards. I celebrate Christmas and Hanukkah, but I forgot to list Hanukkah items last year. Hanukkah starts Dec. 11th this year, but I figured it's not too late to list them since it lasts 8 days.

Hanukkah Star Blue Greeting Card

My first Hanukkah card listed in my shop. :) It uses the shape of the Star of David. I had a bunch of these cut outs of stars and I just attached them to a blank greeting card and cut out the shape.

Dark Blue Paisley Hanukkah Star Greeting Card

I put this card in a shop, but if someone buys it, I can make it again or pull it from the shop. It uses the star shape again, except I cut it out of a decorative paper from India.

Ribbon Hanukkah Star Greeting Card

I made the Star of David here out of a blue ribbon. I was just playing around with some ribbon I had because I wanted to use it and I like how this turned out. It has a fun texture.

I also have this menorah Hanukkah card (on top):

I actually started on this one last year and painted the menorah this year. It has a small spelling error though. It says "night" instead of "nights" so I decided not to list it. Let me know if you're interested in buying it though or you think I should list it anyway (at sale price).

My Pumpkin and Vines Greeting Card is in the EtsyVeg challenge. If I win, my ad will be on the EtsyVeg blog for a month. If you have a minute, please vote for my card here. If you really want to help me, you can retweet about it on Twitter. :) I'm doing pretty well, but someone has 30+ votes. I don't know if they just asked around a lot or if they actually got that many votes. It'd be nice to win one time though.

What would you guys think if I started selling bags in my shop? My mom wants to sell a couple bags through my shop and I thought I'd try it out. She wanted me to design them and she would sew them. It would be in a separate section. I'm using a dog bag she made now and it's really cute. She's also making another bag for me that I designed/picked out the fabric for.

When I first opened my shop, I thought I could do a variety of crafts and just start with journals, but I sort of narrowed it down to just paper crafts over the years because that makes sense. I don't think I'd mind having a separate section for other items though. Let me know what you think.

Nice Hanukkah cards. Good to meet a fellow papercrafter!

Your menorah only has 6 candles!

I like the india paper card a lot, very pretty.

It'd be a great idea to sell bags! Couldn't hurt any, at least you could see the response you get. You should make another dog one, it would be a big hit.
