I was inspired by an article I read on Etsy's blog. I felt my cards were underpriced compared to other items in my shop. I used this formula:
Materials + Labor + Expenses + Profit = Wholesale x2
I think it's hard to price greeting cards because I think most cards are underpriced in general. I tweeked the formula a little to make the cards more affordable, but that's the basic formula I used. If you want, I could do a tutorial/blog entry about pricing items on Etsy.
How much would you pay for a greeting card?

I recently purchased a greeting card which was 4.25 so that is probably my max. I would say the absolute max is 5.00 for a greeting card. It would really depend on how it looks. For example if it's something I'll want to frame afterwards then definitely $5.00.
Pricing is really hard for me to determine. I'm still working on it now and I may be changing prices soon. I just don't want my items to be overly expensive but I still need to make a profit too.
