Valentine’s Day: Nail Art

Nail art is a fun way to dress up for Valentine’s Day. These are some fun nail art looks to try out

Why not paint heart balloons on your nails? Use pink and red hearts. Jin Soon Choi created the nail art look on the heart shaped right.

The left nail art image uses a dark red color with a kiss mark on the ring finger. The right nail art look forms a lip mark when you put the ring finger and thumb together

Why not paint hearts in a different color other than red? The nail art on the left uses green hearts on the tips. The upper right uses pink hearts on a blue background. The bottom right nail look uses bright neon colors and leopard print hearts.

Valentine's Day: Fashion and Beauty

Ready to get dressed up for Valentine's Day? Try one of the looks below.

Pops of red or pink are perfect for Valentine's Day. Try adding a bright red skirt to your outfit paired with a lacey pink top. For something that will keep you warmer, layer a red coat over your outfit.

UHearts are a classic way to dress up for Valentine's Day. Look for items with printed hearts. The photo on the left is from Wendy's Lookbook. The outfit on the right, from Little Blonde Book, pairs a heart print sweater with red boots.

These items contain lip prints instead of heart prints. I love the bold pink lip prints on the left. The outfi ton the right pairs a matching red skirt with a lip print sweater.

For makeup, try a classic red lip with winged eye liner.

Valentine's Day: Gift Ideas

There are many cute gifts you can find to give out on Valentine's Day.

The Valentine's Day Decor Red Heart Eco Felt Ornaments on the left are a great small gift. They are eco friendly and handstitched using red and white twine. The Sterling Silver Heart Charm on the right is a simple piece of jewelry that is perfect to show someone you care.

These wedding cake toppers can be used on any cake, but are especially perfect for couples who are getting married. Both Love You To The Moon And Back Cake Topper and Love You More Cake Topper use cute sayings.

This Stud Lip Balm will make your guy's lips kissable. It contains cocoa butter and can be customized on the label. Does your guy have a beard? Give him Honest Amish Beard Balm instead of lip balm.

Paper Source Planner Review

Back to school time is a great time to start planning. I was shopping at Paper Source and saw a few planners on sale. I decided to pick a few up since they were half off.

This 18 month weekly calendar planner is dated from August 2015 - January 2017. It has a weekly layout with good space for writing notes or decorating. It also has monthly and yearly views in the front. I used it for keeping a schedule of events I was going to and keeping notes. The size is medium - not too large or too small. It is good for keeping at hot desk or carrying around.

It has a pretty rose gold and black design. The side of the pages are gold when you close the planner. It uses an open coptic stitch binding that is painted black. The open stitch design is nice because the planner lies flat when you open it. It also has a strap, but no bookmark.

This 17 month weekly planner is dated from August 2015 - December 2016. It uses a weekly layout with lined pages. I used it for keeping a daily to do list. The lined pages are good for writing, but may not be good for decorating.

This planner is soft cover. It has an elegant light gold color and design. It is a medium sized planner that can fit in your purse. I liked the design of this planner overall, but think it could use a bookmark or strap. The size is nice.

This paper planner is dated from August 2015 - December 2016. The layout uses a monthly view. I used it for planning blog posts. It is a small planner that can fit anywhere.

The planner uses a cute tan, gold and black design. The pages are tan on the inside. The cover is paper and uses staples are a stitching. I liked the paper design, but this may rip or year more easily than hard or soft cover.

Hanukkah Desserts

There are plenty of desserts to make for Hanukkah. Here are a couple to try:

Have you ever wanted to make your own chocolate gelt? This homemade gelt uses gold lister dust painted on the chocolate to imitate the gold wrapper.

Sufganiyot are deep fried Israeli doughnuts. They are perfect as a breakfast or dessert during Hanukkah. Try the recipe from Martha Stewart. Rugelach is another traditional recipe that contains fruit and nuts to make a delicious dessert.

Kraft has a recipe for sugar cookies that contains cream cheese. Land o Lakes has a recipe for classic cookie cutter cookies.

Yellow and White Field of Daisies Mini Journal

This Yellow and White Field of Daisies Mini Journal from my shop is perfect as a small gift or carrying around in your purse. It uses a yellow and white decorative paper with daisies. It is bound together with yellow thread using the coptic stitch method

It is inspired by fields of daisies such as in this photo:

I am working on a full size journal using the same decorative paper and thread. I have made the covers, but haven't finished binding the book together yet.
