Finances are important to keep organized, whether it ia for business or personal. These are some tips I try to use.
- Keep your money organized in one place. Use Mint or Learnvest to look at all your banks, credit cards in one application.
- Set a budget. Budgets can be helpful. See how much money you make and set a daily budget and a budget for different items
- Pay with cash when you can. Carry cash in your wallet.
- It may sound silly, but keeping a nice wallet can help you stay more organized and even help you make more money. Find a wallet you love.
- Sign up to get statements electronically to save paper.
- If you prefer paper statements, make sure to save them in a file folder dedicated to finances. Backup a copy of important files electronically.
- Pay bills on time. Write in your calendar when a bill is due and set reminders the day before so you are not late.
- Pay off debt. Make a plan to pay off debt. The snowball method is a great method to use. One of my main goals this year is to get rid of all my debt. With the right plan, debt is possible to pay off.
- Save money. Set a seperate bank account for your savings. Use an application like Acorns to automatically save money.
- Ask for a raise. You deserve it! Or get an extra job to make more money.
What are are your best money saving and organization tips?
