More Holiday Cards, Promoting and Updates

I listed a new winter holiday card:

I also noticed I still have some coffee themed cards to get up. Look out for these in my shop. I'll go in to more details about these in another entry. I'm thinking of calling all my coffee cards a "collection" and maybe putting them in their own section. What do you think?



I've been doing a lot of promoting and advertising for my Etsy shop lately. I did paid advertising on StumbleUpon. It's an interesting way to advertise because it just takes people to your site so they don't have to click it. You Pay $0.05 for every one who views your page. I just did $10 to see how effective it could be. I got over 100 views, but I don't know if it'd be worth it to do it again. It's a good site to keep in mind though.

I also listed on Craigslist and some other similar sites for free as someone suggested on the forums. I don't know if any of these sites helped, but the sale I made this week is from somebody who signed up the day she bought from me so she could have found Move the Needle through an external site. I also think the free shipping might have helped.

I was also reading through some articles in The Storque on Etsy. I found some interesting sites I hadn't seen beforem sycg as CraftWeasel and EtsyGoth which give you some stats about shop which is always interesting.

Another site called More Cloth lets you find fabrics of a certain color. I didn't notice there were so many fabric sellers on Etsy. I don't use fabric in my journals that much anymore, but I found some really cute fabric I might purchase. I also bought a bunch of new decorative paper recently. I was running low so I decided to stock up again for over winter break.

I got featured in two EtsyVeg treasuries this week:





I just found my photo (#750) in the Worldwide Moment gallery. Worldwide Moment is a project where people take a photograph at the same time at a certain time each year to celebrate a moment of peace. It's a great idea. They also set up their first gallery with all the photos in Florida. I'm hoping they'll come to Chicago or Pittsburgh one day so I can see the gallery myself.
